Wind Load Testing Holes Restored
The Beach Bags crew has completed restoring the pinholes created during our 2022 Season Wind Load Testing Program. Repairs were made in December 2022 and January 2023 using a specialized mortar, JAHN, scientifically engineered to match the physical properties of sandstone. More than 250 holes were restored.

Backpinning Eliminated In 2022
Beach Bags Anchor Systems Wind Load Testing Program, which allowed for the temporary use of backpins on some houseboats through an NPS permitted program, successfully concluded in the fall of 2022. All ~250 holes created during the program have been restored and pins are no longer used in conjunction with any Beach Bags anchorings as off October 15, 2022.
